Pro-Palestine demonstrators blockade a staircase leading toward their encampment in the Quad on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington, USA, on Tue., May 7, 2024. Far-right activist and founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk's "Live Free Tour" event was being held nearby on the campus, and attendees who couldn't get into the event were stopped by the protesters from walking through the encampment. The pro-Palestine protest encampment started on the campus on April 29 and has since peacefully grown to more than 100 tents.
